McDonald's Not Loving It!

Okey dokey. So there I was on August 1, 2010 at the Walmart located on Boulder Highway and Nellis. Inside there is a McDonald's. After I didn't find what I needed at Walmart I decided to get some hot fudge sundae's for my family. I was the only one shopping but the rest of my family was at the Dog Fancier's Park with our two dogs...running them since it's been so hot you can't run much during the summer here. I stepped into line at the McDonald's and someone took cuts. And they got served over me. Ok now maybe they didn't see me there, whatever..however I noticed that they were mexican and every employee at this McDonald's was mexican also. Not one to start something in public, I just let it slide. I picked up the family at the dog park, we had to go to another Walmart so I thought we could get something from the McDonald's at that Walmart. Something things happens. This person she doesn't look mexican. But she starts speaking spanish to the lady behind the counter and they agree to let her take cuts in front of me. This time I am pissed, I am hot and thirsty and in no mood for this stuff. I waited for 10 minutes to be served. This McDonald's is inside the Walmart on Sunset and Marks. They keep chatting with her she has a Walmart receipt saying something about french fries and how she paid at Walmart for them. I am so mad I can hardly stand it. The employees see me however they still don't take my order. Five people are behind me in line and they are getting mad too. I finally get too mad and walk away. Anyway I am calling corporate on McDonald's because Walmart really just rents the space to them. What kind of customer service is there going on the Walmart McDonald's. None I say. it's been like 4 days I am still mad and shaking as I write this. In my day of working at McDonald's we would have taken everybody's order, immediately given food instead of wait for your number to be called (maybe 10 minutes later, if you're lucky) and would not have stood for someone to cut in line. Of course this was all 18+ years ago. And food back then wasn't premade like it is today. Mostly if we were in a rush we took a guess and put food out however it was immediately ordered and ready to go for the customer. Today you're lucky to get your food steaming hot. Back in my day you got your food steaming hot. Plenty of time I burned my mouth on fast food burgers! Oh I forgot to mention but the guy in front of me at the second Walmart McDonald's had never been to a McDonald's, he didn't know what he wanted, kept looking at his phone...maybe his phone was ordering too! Heck I don't know...after 10 minutes of waiting behind him he decides that I can go ahead of him and then the lady cuts in. By the way the customer in front of me is mexican too. Can't swing a dead cat without hitting a mexican these days. Deport all the undocumented back to Mexico!!

MCDONALD'S NOT LOVING IT!!

Traffic Circles? Are they really helping!?!

Ok here in Las Vegas (especially Summerlin area) we have traffic circles. Basically a circle of grass that you go one way in. I have lived in this city for over 18 years and they were initially called "Round-abouts". Now today they are called "Traffic Circles". Go figure. Anyway on Buffalo between Blue Diamond Rd. and the 215 freeway there are "traffic circles". The traffic circles are suppose to help the heavy flow of traffic. First of all that area is not "heavy" with traffic. All they do is hinder traffic flow not help it! Ridiculous! Preposterous! Anyway the person who thought of that needs some serious help! Absolute waste of tax payers monies. There was no problem now it hinders traffic. Goes to show you how tax payers continue to get scammed!!

Las Vegas Mini Gran Prix

Ok, so I got invited to a birthday party at the Las Vegas Mini Gran Prix. I have never been there, drove by it a few times over the years but never stopped. Lots of families there. Very busy parking lot. Kids running wild. So I go inside to see where the birthday party was. Find it. Now it's time to explore. First you need tickets. Ok so you go to the cashier to purchase tickets. $6.50 a ride or buy five or more tickets and pay & $6.00 a ride or $18.00 an hour for unlimited rides. So you think that's the best deal right, $18.00 for an hour. NO!! You wait in the long lines for 15 minutes to get on a ride. So you only get to ride 4 rides in an hour. Not really fair! Ok if you purchase 4 rides at $6.50 per ticket you pay $26.00 for the hour. However tickets don't have any time limit on them. You have to use them that day but no time limit outside of hours of operation. So you tell me which is better. I have to say that the go-karts are the best! You have to watch out for crazy drivers, hey just like in real life! Anyway don't pay hourly. And watch where you sit because they will just come by and take your drinks on you when you are not looking. Trying to make room for the next person. There is no all you can drink. You pay $5.50 for a pitcher of soda. $6.00 for pizza. What a deal. Not good pizza, crust on the bottom wasn't cooked enough. Some spices in the sauce. I don't know missing something totally in the pizza. A pitcher of soda, you get about 4-16 ounce glasses. Not bad. But it's crazy as heck in there. I don't know how they do it. Complete chaos. Don't go without aspirin in tow!

Hauler Parade!

Hauler Parade! A hauler parade is a continuous line of all the haulers that haul the race cars all over the country to all the races!

So we find out that the hauler parade is on Las Vegas Boulevard, going down the strip and then getting on the freeway and ending up at the Speedway! It's at night this year so they could have more fans to watch it, at least the ones who work during the day, banker hours! It started at Russell Road and went down the strip to Sahara and got on I-15 freeway and exited Speedway Blvd. I decided that I would go to Speedway Blvd and take pictures with my husband in agreement. He didn't get to watch it this year because he was still working at his second job. Of course two days later was his last day!

The parade started at 6pm and I was waiting and waiting. 6:30pm rolls by nothing yet! Finally at 6:50pm here comes the parade! OMG! Horns were blaring! Sirens going! I had tears in my eyes! I was so excited, I almost peed my pants! I was jumping up and down and felt like a little kid! I took pictures of every hauler that came by. And hats off to the drivers of the haulers who saw me and slowed down so I could get the pictures! Not every driver slowed down but it was awesome for the ones that did!

It lasted about 7 minutes! 64 haulers came down Speedway Blvd and I got pictures of every one of them!! A few drivers didn't participate in the hauler parade including my husbands driver Matt Kenseth!

So if the hauler parade comes to your town be there! It is an awesome sight to see!

Racing Family!

OK so last weekend on February 27 and 28th. And it was race weekend here in Las Vegas! It took us at least 30 minutes to go 1.5 miles from our house to the track. Yes you guessed it we live by the Speedway!

Anyway so my husband gets tickets and are in the Dale Earnhardt Terrace! And it was awesome because Dale Earnhardt is my favorite. And has been my favorite since I was a little girl. The main reason is because he raced fast and hard and his car was black (my favorite color)! So when he died I transferred that love and attention to his son Dale Earnhardt Jr.! The terrace seats we had really were not that great as far as looking out on to the track. Which was a bummer! Last year we were located on the Richard Petty Terrace at where all the cars came off pit road! That is the spot to be! As it turns out this year all the wrecks were around the Dale Earnhardt Terrace! It was awesome all the smells! Burnt rubber, tires, and gas smell. From this angle we got to see the cars hit pit road and we got to see all the crew go get gasoline! It was awesome to see the long line for the crew to do this! They had their gas cans on little wagons! It was so cute and awesome!

I got some souvenirs! A pack of pens and ticket holder and a pack of pencils! Of course they were Dale Jr's stuff!

And so we were leaving and totally thought it would take at least an hour to get out! And my husband comes up with hey why don't we bar-be-cue next year in the parking lot to kill time. And you know who much time it took us to get home? It took 20 minutes! 20 minutes, can you believe it!?! It was awesome!

Ok ok I know you want to know the winner of the race!! Jimmie Johnson! It was an awesome finish! A fight to the very end between Jeff Gordon and Jimmie Johnson! Everybody in the stands were on their feet cheering and hollering!! Just awesome!

Anyway...my sons driver is Jeff Gordon, my husbands is Matt Kenseth and mine is Dale Earnhardt Jr. My 2 daughters don't have a favorite and one really hates NASCAR! Sad!

WHAT THE F..K?

So today I was watching NASCAR race with my husband before he went to work. We watched all the prerace activity. We listened to Katharine McPhee sing the national anthem. Absolutely beautiful voice! 'Course I didn't vote for her when she was on American Idol. And there is the famous words said after "Gentlemen start your engines"! Who was said by Andy Garcia in English and Spanish....what the f... This is an Amercian sport you speak english in America, turkeys! You don't say those famous words in Spanish.

In case you haven't figured it out yet I am for NO, I repeat no illegal immigrants. Yes I am third generation born in this country however I do not believe in flooding our country with illegal immigrants. Our country is flooded with Hispanic-Spanish speaking illegals! Here in Las Vegas there are so many illegals, you can't swing a dead cat without hitting an illegal! The illegals are allowed to do anything they want. If they don't carry auto insurance and they wreck then they are allowed to leave the scene of the accident without anything done to them. My best friend was hit by an illegal and her brother was killed and nothing was done to that illegal for the killing. She didn't even get her medical bills paid. She was the middle car, so her car was the accordian. And she lost her brother 2 months later from that accident.

SO IF YOU LIVE IN AMERICA SPEAK ENGLISH! This is not Mexico, THIS IS AMERICA! Send those illegals to the front lines in war time!! Not our boys!

NO SPANISH WORDS IN OUR AMERICAN SPORTS!!! AMERICA THE BEAUTIFUL!
