Hauler Parade!

Hauler Parade! A hauler parade is a continuous line of all the haulers that haul the race cars all over the country to all the races!

So we find out that the hauler parade is on Las Vegas Boulevard, going down the strip and then getting on the freeway and ending up at the Speedway! It's at night this year so they could have more fans to watch it, at least the ones who work during the day, banker hours! It started at Russell Road and went down the strip to Sahara and got on I-15 freeway and exited Speedway Blvd. I decided that I would go to Speedway Blvd and take pictures with my husband in agreement. He didn't get to watch it this year because he was still working at his second job. Of course two days later was his last day!

The parade started at 6pm and I was waiting and waiting. 6:30pm rolls by nothing yet! Finally at 6:50pm here comes the parade! OMG! Horns were blaring! Sirens going! I had tears in my eyes! I was so excited, I almost peed my pants! I was jumping up and down and felt like a little kid! I took pictures of every hauler that came by. And hats off to the drivers of the haulers who saw me and slowed down so I could get the pictures! Not every driver slowed down but it was awesome for the ones that did!

It lasted about 7 minutes! 64 haulers came down Speedway Blvd and I got pictures of every one of them!! A few drivers didn't participate in the hauler parade including my husbands driver Matt Kenseth!

So if the hauler parade comes to your town be there! It is an awesome sight to see!

Racing Family!

OK so last weekend on February 27 and 28th. And it was race weekend here in Las Vegas! It took us at least 30 minutes to go 1.5 miles from our house to the track. Yes you guessed it we live by the Speedway!

Anyway so my husband gets tickets and are in the Dale Earnhardt Terrace! And it was awesome because Dale Earnhardt is my favorite. And has been my favorite since I was a little girl. The main reason is because he raced fast and hard and his car was black (my favorite color)! So when he died I transferred that love and attention to his son Dale Earnhardt Jr.! The terrace seats we had really were not that great as far as looking out on to the track. Which was a bummer! Last year we were located on the Richard Petty Terrace at where all the cars came off pit road! That is the spot to be! As it turns out this year all the wrecks were around the Dale Earnhardt Terrace! It was awesome all the smells! Burnt rubber, tires, and gas smell. From this angle we got to see the cars hit pit road and we got to see all the crew go get gasoline! It was awesome to see the long line for the crew to do this! They had their gas cans on little wagons! It was so cute and awesome!

I got some souvenirs! A pack of pens and ticket holder and a pack of pencils! Of course they were Dale Jr's stuff!

And so we were leaving and totally thought it would take at least an hour to get out! And my husband comes up with hey why don't we bar-be-cue next year in the parking lot to kill time. And you know who much time it took us to get home? It took 20 minutes! 20 minutes, can you believe it!?! It was awesome!

Ok ok I know you want to know the winner of the race!! Jimmie Johnson! It was an awesome finish! A fight to the very end between Jeff Gordon and Jimmie Johnson! Everybody in the stands were on their feet cheering and hollering!! Just awesome!

Anyway...my sons driver is Jeff Gordon, my husbands is Matt Kenseth and mine is Dale Earnhardt Jr. My 2 daughters don't have a favorite and one really hates NASCAR! Sad!
